Many people are not familiar with the term time share. There are over three million Americans that own a time share, and many more are expected to join in the years ahead. While this is a great opportunity, there are some things that need to be considered. First, you must make sure that your vacation plans can be set far in advance. Popular locations for timeshares are Hawaii, Las Vegas, Colorado, Hilton Head and Mexico.

With a time share you are unable to postpone a trip due to inclement weather or business emergencies. So you must plan ahead. Regular upkeep and cleaning are also required. Everyone hopes that they share their time share property with thoughtful, clean families but this is not always so. Find out if there are guidelines for each owner laid out in the time share agreement. That way there will be no bickering over pool cleaning, or repairs.
